Kelly has had restless sleeps these past few nights... (full moon?) so she spent a couple hours in her chair sipping tea until 1 AM… then she finally went to bed. We both awoke to another stunning sunrise and then prepped the RV for our move further east.
Once hooked up, we slowly worked our way through several washes to Plomosa Rd and on into Quartzsite. We dumped our grey tanks and filled up on fresh water before hitting Highway 10 eastbound at 10:45 am. (Our destination has limited water so we topped up the water tank as well)
Under sunny skies, we enjoyed a nice drive on vast straight stretches of flat highway! We then turn south on HWY 85 to Gilla Bend where we stopped to top up the fuel tank and get some lunch. We hit Burger King and had a Whopper meal… which was actually pretty good.
A quick switch to HWY 8 eastbound and then Hwy 10 towards Tucson. With Picacho Peak in sight, we entered the state park campground and we were set up by 3:30 PM.
We managed to reserve a nice site (B8) with lots of privacy and will spend a few days checking out the area. We have been very fortunate to date with some awesome camping sites… fingers crossed that it continues :-) Weather is supposed to turn so we will see how far we get.

Dinner was BBQ tri-tip, baked potato , beets & salad. In between awards at the Oscars, we took a stroll around the loop and enjoyed the warm winds.
I then spent 30 minutes on the phone with T-Mobile trying to get my iPad hooked up to their network... I have had good success with it until now... just doesn't want to connect. They are "working on a resolution" as I type this.
Blog then bedtime for us.
