Day 26 - RV Park to RC Park

We had our coffee and slowly got things packed up for out short 30 minute drive over to the Arizona Model Aviators field just to the North of Apache Junction.

 We had one last visit to the wifi area in the RV park to update apps and check in on the cyber world. Kelly was looking at loads to fly home and it was starting to get tight. With airfares really low we decided that buying a ticket made way more sense and so now there is no stress.
 
After a short drive we set up our rig in the west end of tehparking lot. We have plenty of company with Bill Carder, Gary McLellan and Bill Wallace right next door. I also met up with a couple of former pilots from my company and got caught up with them.

RV lineup

Kelly and I headed into town and revisited a Mexican place for lunch, picked up some fresh water and filled the truck with diesel.  A quick stop at Walmart was included in the sortie around the town.
 
Back at the field, I assembled my plane and joined the guys for some practice flights. Winds had shifted to a north east wind so the direction was opposite from the past few days. (A weather system is sweeping in with forecast rains!)
 
As the skies darkened, I packed up the plane and prepped for dinner. We then had a good visit with Gary and Bill afterwards and got caught up on the precision aerobatic scene at D-8. We cut the night short and headed back to our RV for an early bed.
