Day 7 - Bakersfield Super Bowl Party

With no particular plan for today we had a nice sleep in… well I did. Kelly was up early and had the coffee all ready when I appeared. Perfect timing!

First up was a major bath for the truck at the RV wash station. It was nice to get it all cleaned up after the monsoon start to our trip. While I washed, Kelly showered and then headed off with her orange “picker stick” and grabbed some oranges off the trees.

Once back at the RV I took the windex and cleaned all the truck and RV windows. The hard water here in Bakersfield left water spots after the wash yesterday that I could not stand. I also went topside and cleaned the solar panels and the overhead vent. Everything was in good order.

We also decided to stay another night so a quick call to the office and we were set for a Tuesday morning departure.

Shower time for me then we headed off to Costco for a few supplies. I wanted to get some Diesel Exhaust Fluid but sadly, they didn’t carry it at this Costco. The liquor was cheap though :-)  We picked up a lasagna for dinner & some additional meat for the freezer.  Kelly squeezed some oranges in preparation for her evening drink. She has decided we need a juicer so I feel a trip to Target is in our future.

Back at the RV we had a late lunch and some snacks in preparation for the Super Bowl. The game was exciting and came down to the strong last quarter finish for Kansas City Chiefs.

Kelly squeezed some oranges for the ultimate drink. A 1.75 liter bottle of Vodka was $19 US at Costco!

As many of you know, I have been having issues inviting people to the blog so after some internet sleuthing I found a fault with multiple Google accounts. This created double emails that would have one fail and the other work???  I have reset the account and hopefully I have the problem solved. I also sent out invites again to those I thought got caught up in the cyber mess. Sorry for all the blogger emails!!
